Announcing NLS HumanWare Braille eReader software update

Devices connected to Wi-Fi will tell the user that a new update is available for downloading and installation.

This software update includes new BARD search and browsing options, assigned titles in Bookshare, new braille languages and learning tables, external storage improvements and miscellaneous bug fixes.

Network libraries can download the software update and release notes document from the Resource Portal [loc.gov]. Please be sure to update units with this software version (3.1) before distributing them to patrons. 

This software update is also available on DoD systems and can be added to book cartridges for HumanWare eReader users who are not connected to the Internet. Once the cartridge is connected, patrons can follow the prompts to update the software.
