State Depository Libraries
The Rhode Island State Library manages the State Clearinghouse, an initiative established under Rhode Island General Laws Chapter 29-7 in 1983. The goal of the State Clearinghouse is to ensure public access to state agencies' publications. The Rhode Island State Library serves as a permanent depository for State publications and is responsible for distributing these publications to other State depository libraries.
