NLS Impacts from Federal Govt. Shutdown

Due to the 43-day federal government shutdown in October and November, NLS will not produce Talking Book Topics (TBT) [loc.gov] and Braille Book Review (BBR) [loc.gov] for November-December 2025. The TBT and BBR January-February 2026 issues are now in production and are schedule to be on time for the new year.

Collections Connection (CC) [loc.gov] issues for October and November were also not produced due to the shutdown. The December issue of CC is scheduled to be emailed and made available online this month.

The current issue of NLS News [loc.gov] has a cover date of July-December 2025 and will be mailed to subscribers soon. Quarterly production of News will resume in 2026.

International Language Quarterly (ILQ) [loc.gov] issue 4, volume 5, was not produced due to the shutdown. The first issue of volume 6 will be available online at the end of January 2026.
