NLS Delay of Calendars and Magazines

Distribution of 2023 braille pocket and wall calendars has been significantly delayed. Patrons should expect to receive 2023 calendars by December. These are thirteen-month calendars, so they can be used through January 2024. NLS anticipates that 2024 calendars will be available in January.

To avoid additional delays, the 2023 wall calendars are being produced in braille only. In subsequent years, the wall calendars will be produced in print/braille. Pocket calendars are produced in braille only.

NLS extends their apologies for these delays. Once subscribed, patrons will automatically get a calendar each year.

NLS also continues to experience delays in Magazine On Cartridge (MOC) distribution due to a back order of MOC shipping supplies and a malfunction of the producer’s MOC production system. Patrons should expect delays of up to four weeks for various subscriptions. The production system has since been replaced, and NLS is currently working with a distributor to fully replenish the stock of shipping materials.
