[December 9, 2019] After over 15 years on its current platform, Jobline will be moving in January 2020 to a newer, more robust, and more feature-filled platform. The Office of Library and Information Services is excited to announce that we are partnering with the Library Research Service at the Colorado State Library to launch a Northeast section of LibraryJobline. This unique, multi-state collaboration offers an updated toolset for library employers and job seekers to connect across Rhode Island and beyond.
Job seekers wishing to receive email alerts concerning new job opportunities must create a free user account on LibraryJobLine. However, the site can also be searched without creating an account.
Employers must create an account on LibraryJobLine in order to submit job posts. All posts are subject to approval by OLIS staff and will be reviewed for completeness. Employers can start posting new positions right away. OLIS will continue to cross-post new jobs on the old site until the end of December. Following this, new post can only be made to the LibraryJobline.
Colorado State Library's Library Research Service has developed one of the most advanced, well-rounded library job boards in the country and the site already hosts job postings from across the US. By collaborating with this well-established project, OLIS is seizing a unique chance to fulfill its mission to Rhode Island libraries by forging a closer relationship with other regional organizations while exposing Rhode Island's talent and opportunity to a wider audience.
OLIS is always looking for new and empowering ways to connect the people, resources, and talent that make Rhode Island libraries great. By joining LibraryJobline we have the opportunity to substantially improve the user-experience of job seekers and libraries by empowering employers to reach more candidates faster, and to help job seekers discover more opportunities that meet their professional interests.
